Books
etc. etc.

Okay, I admit it, I read a lot.  I have a lot of time on my hands.  I have to do something else besides watching TV.  I'm going to put up a list of the books that I have, and occasionally review  new ones that I read. I will also keep tabs on what I'm reading at any given point, so if you've read it, you can e-mail and tell me if it sucks and I shouldn't bother finishing it.

My Books, located elsewhere, because it's a bit of a long list to put directly on this page.

Reviews:
Elie Whitney--Night Premise: The true account of a young Jewish boy  in the Auswich concentration camp during WWII.
Response:  Stunning.  People say that today's youth is desensitized by violence.  All I can say is that what I read was more horrible, violent, and absolutely unthinkable that I can't imagine ever being desensitized to it.  It's the kind of thing where it's too deep for tears.  I give it a well deserved 5/5 stars.

Piers Anthony--Rage Against Time Premise: A WASPy boy starts to notice that things around him just don't add up.  The world's all screwy, and he sets out to find out why.  Turns out that he and 5 other teenagers are monuments of Earth which has been destroyed by warfare.  Everyone except these 6 have become "standard," a nondescript medium brown people, with little variation.  They are a living reminder of the past.
Response: Pretty good, fairly light reading, not much difficulty.  The ending was kind of a disappointment.  I give it 2.5/5 stars.

Lawrence Watt-Evans and Esther M. Friesner--Split Heirs Premise:  In the kingdom of Hydrangea, the queen has just given birth to triplets.  A bad sign, since her husband, a boneheaded conqueror, considers that to be a sign of infidelity, punishable by death.  So she sends 2 of the kids packing with the maid, and they promptly disappear.  The book follows their various trials and tribulations until they meet again, 16 years later.
Response:  Not bad, for what it is, one of those fantasy/comedy things.  Kept me laughing, but the plot was nonexistant.  I'll give it 2.75/5 stars.

What I'm reading right now: Hunter's Oath by Michelle West, It's a castoff from a friend, like the two above, and it's one of those heavy fantasy things.  I'm only 19 pages into it, but it seems okay.
