I'm one of
those people who listens to a little of everything, except for rap and
pop and hip-hop and such. So, basically, my favorite songs range
across all lines and categories, so have patience, and I'm sure something
you like will come up eventually.
Some of My Favorites are:
Something
I Can Never Have, NIN (nin.wav,
433 kb) Passion, The Nixons (passion.wav,
530 kb) Moonlight Sonota, Beethoven
(moonlight.wav,
435 kb) The New World Symphony, Dvorak
(newworld.wav,
303 kb) Moonlight Serenade, Glenn
Miller (serenade.wav,
400 kb) American Pie, Don McLean
(american.wav,
979 kb) Out of My Head, Fastball
(fastball.wav, 368 kb) My views
on midis: I am generally against midis, considering that they--for
the most part--butcher the music and basically just sound like crap.
But there is one place I have found with some fairly decent ones.
So, if you feel you need to listen to some midis, The
Midi Mirage is a pretty awesome site, considering the subject. They
do have Moonlght Serenade American Pie from the favorites above, but I'm
not especially fond of the renditions. Call me a purist, but to me
it just doesn't sound right, no matter how close to the real thing it is...
