It'll Rot Your Brains, but I Couldn't Live Without It!
Being a college student, I naturally spend a good portion of my time watching television in order to avoid doing homework.  This has led to a rathar large list of shows that I watch on a regular basis.  So, down below, I'll list just a (large) handful of my favorites, and why I like each one.  For some of them, I'll also link to a great page or two that have to do with the show.  Enjoy!
Yeah, I know I didn't update this for the summer, but it was basically the same, only I watched more of General Hospital and Rosie, and I missed Allie McBeal a lot, because Buffy was on at the same time on Mondays.  Oh, and Dawson's Creek wasn't on for most of the summer.  That's about all the changes.  Any new shows I add with the beginning of the new season will get listed later.  I think I'll at least test that new WB one, I can't remember the name, but it's been called "Allie McBeal in college."  Oh yeah, Feilcity.  (I'll try to put a link in at some point.)  But I'm a bit leery of it... seems too angst-ridden for me.

Monday-Friday
2:00 P.M. (when I'm not in class, which is going to mean never next semester) General Hospital.  Okay, okay, so it's a soap. So what?  As soaps go, it's a fairly believeable and managable one-no demon posessions, and very few evil twins or brain tumors.  Plus, in my opinion, it's got a group that includes some of the world's hottest guys.  Shallow, I know, but hey--shallowness has to have an outlet, and isn't this better than bringing it out in all of my personal relationships?
3:00 P.M. (again, when I'm not in class, and again, never) The Rosie O'Donnell Show Yeah, all right she is a bit irritatingly cute at times, but she does have about the best guests, and after all--there's nothing else on then.

Monday
8:00 P.M. Allie McBeal  Realistic? Nope. Funny and entertaining? Yuppers!  The pathos are credible, if the fobiles aren't, and a greater bunch of eccentrics I've never seen in my life.  The singing chick is seriously getting on my nerves, though.

Tuesday
Ahhhh, the night of Champions!!
7:00 P.M. Buffy the Vampire Slayer  What can I say?  This show just happens to kick ass. (literally!)  It's exciting, fun, dramatic, and just a wee bit campy in all the best parts.  Not to mention being incredibly quotable.  For some great audio clips, check out Sounds of the Slayer.  For video, look to here.  And for one of those great all-around sites (Actually a Sarah Michelle Gellar worship page, but still quite closely related to the show.) go here.  Please remember to bookmark and come right back, because I don't like to share.  Besides, you really really want to see my whole site, right?
8:00 P.M. Dawson's Creek  I know, I know--no 15 year old in the world talks like that.  But we all wished we could.  It's heartbreaking, it's beautiful, and it's funny as hell.  If you're much over 20, or not from a small town, you probably will have trouble getting it, but then, isn't that what a target audience is for?

Wednesday
8:00 P.M. The Drew Carey Show  Well, basically it's just a great little comedy.  Offensive like you wouldn't believe, but isn't that half the appeal?  Drew's an everyman; the guy next door.  His friends are all a little offbeat without crossing that line into fakeness.  And--he has a pool table in his backyard.  What more could you want?

Thursday
7:00 P.M.  Friends  Okay, so I've succombed to the lure of Th-er's-day.  And, yes--I watch the whole thing through from Friends to ER. (Okay, well, I turn the TV off for Veronica's Closet.)  And Friends is, well Friends.
9:00 P.M. ER  This is the show that made me want to be a doctor.  And although I no longer want to be a doctor, I still love the show, and hardly ever miss it.

Friday
8:00 P.M. Xena, Warrior Princess  Alright, so you've got this 6' tall chick running around beating all the bad guys up.  Can we say hero worship?  Hercules has nothing on this girl, half god or not!!  Granted, I have a tendency to miss it a lot on Fridays, and I have to catch it Sunday afternoon on sattelite, but hey--as long as I see it!

Saturday
Absolutely Nothing.  Well, maybe the HBO premiere, but that goes under movies, doesn't it?

Sunday
7:00 P.M.  The Simpsons  Ahhhhh.... Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.  The greatest family ever to hit the TV screen.
8:00 P.M. The X-Files  The stand-alone ones are great.  I personally have beef with the conspiracy episodes, seeing as how I missed a couple seasons in there somewhere, and now I don't understand what exactly is going on.  But--that vampire one more than made up for any ones this season that I didn't like!!
