Unusual Markings
It has been noted that some Green cheeked; molinae molinae & molinae australis have red/yellow feather flecks on there wing shoulders (carpal edge). If your birds have this it is quite natural, they are found in the wild with these markings.
I currently have two breeding pairs of m.australis with these markings, & the bird on the photo is a 99 bred sexed cock bird. His parents were bred from wild imports which also had the markings
The amount of red/yellow feathers can vary from just having one or two feathers to having plenty, like the one in the photo. With selective breeding I have no doubt the red/yellow would progress.
Anyone with birds like this in the U.K please get in touch as I would be very interested in purchasing/exchanging some with you. mailto:les_waring@hotmail.com
