tesla room rehab
this is a page to see the rehab work done on my tesla room. it had become so cramped and cluttered that things were starting to flow outwards into the rest of the housethe pile that developed when i started moving everything from one side of the room to the other. at this point i couldn't believe i had so much stuff packed into this room?
![]() ![]() some time later, and much frustration, it's coming together. I wasn't real sure I could pack it all on one side, so as to leave a relatively clear area for firing a coil in. the buffet is a great work bench that now the drawers are a little lighter, after moving most of the stuff into the closet. I also ran a dedicated 30 amp 240v circuit from the top slots of my distribution panel, this runs into a 35 amp filter and then splits into two 120v circuits. This is my dedicated coil power point, eliminating any chance of rf. kick into my house wiring. I just happened to have two 25 amp 120v power strips that I wired into the filter.
![]() ![]() left pic shows the modified linen closet packed full of doo dads, without this space I would never have done it. I'm thinking the roll top desk is gona go, I'll put my wooden work table there instead, that way I can put my hobby lathe on it and use it to build my sync. Gap. Of coarse I have to have the idiot box there for background noise, hooked to the satellite of coarse. Right side shows that there are no easy places to stick large capacitors, the pig will be moved over by the other two soon.
![]() left side showing the metal shelving for my test equipment, I'm not sure if it helps but I ran a dedicated ground outside to two ground rods with 4 tree spikes drove around each, I bonded all the shelves to these. I was actually thinking of using a bunch of hardware cloth for doors, that when closed, would create a faraday cage, protecting my valuable equipment from any rf. interference? The right is the opposite side of the room showing the wooden work table and the pigs, these pigs are going to be moved into the corner after the roll top goes, and the window screen will come down so I can put the expanded aluminum "gutter guard" up for a ground strike shield. This side will be improved as time goes on. Notice the 3k coil hanging from the ceiling and the primary hanging on the wall, owning your own house sure makes it nice, except when your house is 200 years old, the 4" by 4" studs aren't always on center?
