Miscellaneous
here are some transformers i found up while picking up a 10 kva dry type delta\wye transformer. they have some VERY nice cores and the co. had several pallets of these for a very resonable price.
this one has some massive bus taps for the input (maybe input?) and many taps for output (maybe output?). it is a strange one indeed because the secondary windings have some really high resistance values, if i had to hazard a guess i would say this is some kind of potential transformer because the lower numbered taps are the higher resistance windings and the "MASSIVE" current taps are the highest number? it has the windings totaly incased in a hv foam type plastic that smells like polyethylene when burnt. i have no idea but i will need to current limit it in order to check input\output voltage ratio of the windings but if it is as i think it is, these may be a fantastic tesla transformer?

the other is:
this one has twin windings wound on a single core, each "transformer" is conected to each other at the taps. like it is a single?
it might be interesting to try to flip one trans. unit and try to make a center tapped hv trans. from it? i will have to limit the current and "see"what i can find out about it?

if anyone recognises these or has any info about "STRAGENES" TRANSFORMERS, please let me know at mystuffs@orwell.net
