Joseph Hawk

Be it remembered that I Joseph Hawk of Lancaster County in the State of Pennsylvania being of sound and desprising mind and memory do make and ordain my last will and testemant in manner following Viz; I direct all just debts and funeral expences to be fully paid and satisfied by my executors herein named as soon as may be after my decease All the rest residue and remainder of my estate real, personal and mixed I give too my beloved wife Mary Jane Hawk, the whole of her natural life (that is the property on which I now reside including all the household goods of what ever kind ( all monies that may be due me at the time of my decease ( After my debts and funeral expenses shall have been paid) Shall be placed on intrest by my said executors herein after named for the intrest that can be obtained for the same, that the intrest on same obtained for the same, that the intrest on same shall be paid to my said wife by my said executor herein after named from time to time as the same shall become due After the death of my wife Mary J. Hawk I direct that all her just debts and funeral expenses shall be fully paid by my said executor herein after named as soon as may be after her decease I then direct that all my property of whatsoever kind shall be converted into money as soon as the same can convenitly be done after her decease, and for that purpose I do herby authorize my said executor here in after named to sell and dispose of all my said real estate either by privite or public sale or sales for the best price or prices that can be gotten for the same , and by proper deed or deeds conveyances or assurances in the law, to be duly executed, acknowlegde and prerfected simple and where the whole of my residuary estate shalll be divided into four equal shares between my four children, Viz: Thomas Hawk, John Hawk, Mary Carrol, Nettie B. Hawk, and Addie M. Hawk Imminate constitutes and appoint Fred H. Hensel of Drumore township Executor of this my last will and testement In witness where of I joseph Hawk the testat have hereunto set my hand and seal the 17th day of April 1894

In the name of god, Amen I William Hensil, the ( the elder) of the township of Martick in the County of Lancaster, and State of Pennsylvania ( house carpenter) being of sound mind, memory and understanding. Blessed be God for the same and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, Do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit, First, It is my will, and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid as soon as can veniantly can after my decease Item, I give devise and bequeath into my granddaughter Ann Catherine Hunter, my desk, and book case and my beds and bedsteads Item it is my request that all my property shall be sold to the best advantage and the money arising from such sale or sales shall be equally divided amongst my seven children (viz) George who is deceased leaving a widow and five children John, Jacob, William, Catherine intermarried with Daniel East, and Maria, intermarried with Jonas Hunter, or their legal representatives when the shall severally have arrived at the full age of twenty one years of age, share and share alike, ( my Executors taking in to consideration such advancements, charges in my book, or claims which I may have against any of my said children and deduct the same from such share or part to which the would be entitled Item, I do further authorize and impower my Executors here in after named or the survivors of them to sign, seal, as their act and deed to deliver any lawful or reasonable Deeds, grants conveyances and assuring the fee simple and inheritance of all and every the dwelling house and pieces of ground with their and every of their rights members and appurtenances, unto and to the use and behoof of the purchaser or purchasers their of his her or their heirs and assigns forever and lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Jacob an my son=in law Jonas Hunter and the survivors of them to be Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former and other wills by me here to fore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament, In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal the twenty fift day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty one signed sealed and declared by the said testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us
