One of the most exiting museum in Switzerland is the
Verkehrsmuseum (Transportation Museum) in Luzern.
Livesize monstrous engines of all kind are on display.
Trains, Ships and Airplanes are at view here.
But I want to show mainly trains. Here we go!!!
The famous "Krokodil" Ce6/8
The SBB Ce6/8 and the narrow gauge "Baby Krokodil"
of the Rhaetische Bahn.
The Steam engine C5/6 "Elephant" Gotthard engine.
The "Roter Pfeil" Red Arrow commuter of the 1930th.
Spanisch Broetli Bahn, close up.
Lokal Steam engine of the 1890.
Wide angle view of the exhibition hall.
The SBB newest Intercity Express, "doubledecker".
The mountain steam cogwheel tram
The 1890 horsedrawn city tram.
The 1939 Ae8/14 "Landiloki" and a Ae3/6.
The "Command Center" of a HO Layout.
A viaduct scene of the HO layout
A Re460 in operation on the mountain scene.
Visiting the Luzern Verkehrshaus is a great experience
that nobody should miss. History in the making!
Highly recommended.
