A Little Bit About Matt...

Born September 14, 1980 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Matt was a Lifelong resident of Hall County. He attended Gainesville City Schools and was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.

As a child, Matt participated in the Boy Scouts Of America and exhibited a growing interest in drama and music. He Became a gifted vocalist, actor and musician. He devoted many hours to the music and drama departments at both Gainesville High School and at Gainesville First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the International Thespian Society, earning his Honor Chord by the completion of high school. Recently Matt worked as an extra in two HBO movies, "Unshackled" and "Dawn Of Freedom", and was seen by many in a commercial that aired frequently during Lewis Massey's campaign for Governor.

Matt is survived by so many people that loved him that it would be impossible to list them all. After watching "It's A Wonderful Life"several weeks ago with his mother while in the hospital, he asked if it was truly possible for one person to make that much difference in so many people's lives. Yes, our dear Matt- it is- and you did.
