My favourite items in my collection are a pair of rare  Siemens & Halske Magnetic Receivers of the 1880's. For more information about these please click on the picture.
These are very rare in Australia with these ones having been used in Tasmania and when found were still in working order. As far as we know there are only four others in this country. If any one has any more information, please email details.

Berthon Ader of 1885. This is a historic French instrument and was one of the earliest used in Australia. There are quite a few in local collections.

This telephone is a British Western Electric twin box used on a property in western New South Wales in the late 1890's. It is one of two used at the same location that were connected to different exchanges.

An early Telephone Doll, made in France early this century with a plaster head and wax overlay. These dolls were used to cover telephones because they were thought to have a too business like air to be placed in some rooms. They were used mainly with candlestick telephones.
