The Memorial Park in Soldiers Grove is dedicated to the town's own Medal of Honor recipient, Beauford T. Anderson. Located on the land once occupied by the business district of Soldiers Grove, it honors the patriotism and American spirit of the war heros of the village as well as Medal of Honor inductees from the seven-state area encompassed by Region 5 of the Medal of Honor Society.

The park was officially established in a grand military ceremony in 1993, beginning with the dedication of the Medal of Honor wall and recognition of memorial markers dedicated to Beauford T. Anderson and the POW/MIA and Killed In Action veterans of the village. Many dignitaries, Medal of Honor recipients & their families were in attendance.

In 1995, another honorary wall was erected at the park, in celebration of the 1204 deceased & living local veterans of the Civil War (106), WWI (150), WWII (496), Korea (214), Vietnam (190), Lebanon-Grenada (15), Panama (3) & The Persian Gulf War(30).
