Note:This also works up beautifully with DMC Perle cotton and I like to use a size 2 or 3 hook when using perle cotton. :)
Starting at center, ch 5. Join to form a ring.
Round 1:Ch 4, 14 tr in ring. Join.
Round 2:Ch 4, tr in same place as sl st, 2 tr in next tr, * tr in next tr, 2 tr in next 2 tr. Repeat from * around, ending with tr in last tr. Join.
Round 3:Sc in same place as sl st, sc in each tr around (25 sc). Join.
Round 4:Ch 4, tr in same sc as sl st, 2 tr in each sc around. Join.
First petal...1st row:Ch 4, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make tr in next 2 tr, thread over and draw thru all loops on hook (cluster); tr in next 3 tr, cluster over next 3 tr. Ch 4, turn.
2nd row:Holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 2 tr in tip of next cluster, tr in next 3 tr, 2 tr in tip of next cluster, thread over and complete a cluster; ch 4, turn, sl st at base of cluster, ch 4, sl st in next 2 tr on Blue Bell, ch 4, and work next petal as for first petal until 5 petals are done. Join and fasten off.
