Note:This also works up beautifully with DMC Perle cotton and I like to use a size 2 or 3 hook when using perle cotton. :)

Starting at center, ch 10, join to form a ring.
First leaf...Row 1:Sl st in ring, ch 4, tr in ring. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2:2 dc in first tr,3 dc in next ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3:2 sc in first dc, sc in each dc across, 2 sc in top of next ch. Ch 3, turn.
Row 4:Holding back on hook the last loop of each dc, make dc in next 3 sc, thread over and draw thru all loops on hook (cluster made),ch 3, sl st in next sc, ch 3, make another cluster, ch 3, sl st in last sc. Fasten off.
Second leaf:Attach thread to ring, ch 4 and complete leaf as before. Make 2 more leaves in this manner. You will have a total of 4 leaves. Now work sc closely along outer edges of first leaf to within first tr at base of leaf, work sc over this tr-bar, making sc's in corresponding sc on opposite side of leaf. Sl st in ring and work sc in this manner all around outer edges of all leaves. Do not fasten off.
Stem:Make a chain 6 inches long. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sl st in ring. Fasten off.
