MosesMy favorite animated movie! "The Prince Of Eygpt"(not just for kids).
Character on the afghan is Moses.

Materials:
Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Weight Yarn 8 oz skeins (Buff): 6 skeins (48 oz)
Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Weight Yarn 8 oz skeins (Black): 3 skeins (24 oz)
Crochet hook size J/10/6MM

Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Yarn Over (YO)
Beginning (beg)

Gauge: 4 sc = 1 inch
Finished size = 5' x 6' (60" x 72")

Notes: Each row on chart is equal to 2 rows crocheted. Each square/block on chart is equal to 2 sc stitches. Always work over unused strand to carry it along in work. Rows are read from right to left on chart.

Additional Notes: To change colors, work a sc in the old color, then, pull the new color through the last two loops to complete that single crochet.

*I stuck with 2 colors for this afghan. One of these days, I'm going to learn to work with yarn bobbins or something along those lines. :)

Chain 213.
Row 1 (on chart): With Buff, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 26 ch, change to black, 1 sc in each of next 4 ch, (buff) 1 sc in each of next 8 ch, (black) 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, (buff) 1 sc in each of next 44 ch, (black) 1 sc in each of next 4 ch, (buff) 1 sc in each of next 8 ch, (black) 1 sc in each of next 4 ch, (buff) 1 sc in each of next 50 ch, (black) 1 sc in each of next 4 ch, (buff) 1 sc in each of next 20 ch, (black) 1 sc in each of next 4 ch, (buff) 1 sc in each of next 30 ch; ; ch 1, turn (212 sc).
Remember, the row you are about to crochet is still Row 1 on chart but when you crochet this "follow-up" row, read the chart from left to right. Each row on chart is equal to 2 rows crocheted.

Row 2 - 115 (on chart): Continue according to chart. At the end of Row 115 on chart, cut light color and fasten off. Insert hook in side of sc of last row just worked, YO and pull thru dark color, ch 1. Work edging along sides of rows, foundation ch, other side and top of afghan.
