Materials:
(MC) Red Heart Worsted Weight acrylic yarn (White) or other brand white worsted weight
(CC) Red Heart Fiesta Worsted Weight yarn (Light Raspberry) or color of your choice
Crochet Hook size E / 4

Gauge: 4 dc = 1 inch
Finished Size: 6" x 6"

Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Space (sp)
Main Color (MC)
Contrasting Color (CC)

With MC, ch 27 (a little loosely if needed).
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped chs count as 1 dc), 1 dc in each ch across; ch 3 (counts as dc on next row now and throughout), turn (25 dc).

Row 2: 1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, (ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, (ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 6 dc; ch 3, turn.

Row 3: 1 Dc in each of next 6 dc, (ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, (ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc; ch 3, turn.

Row 4: 1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc; ch 3, turn.

Row 5: 1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, (ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, (ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 6 dc; ch 3, turn.

Row 6: 1 Dc in each of next 3 dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip sp, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc; ch 3, turn.

Row 7: Repeat Row 3.

Row 8: Repeat Row 4.

Row 9: Repeat Row 5.

Row 10: 1 Dc in each of next 6 dc, (2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, (2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc) twice, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc; fasten off and sew in ends well with a large-eyed sewing needle.

EDGING

Rnd 1: With CC, join with a sl st to top of last dc just made, ch 1, 3 sc in same place (corner), work 2 sc in sides of each row across to Row 1, work 2 sc in side of Row 1, 3 sc in next ch on Row 1 (corner), 1 sc in each ch of foundation ch, 3 sc in last ch (corner), 2 sc in sides of rows on next side of square, 3 sc in top of turning ch (corner), 1 sc in each dc across; join with sl st to beg sc. Fasten off and sew in ends well with a large-eyed sewing needle.
