This Tapestry-style crochet fridgie is fun and quick to make. It is designed for the Sampler Squares Fridgie exchange for the Sampler Squares mailing list found at: http://connectionsconsulting.com/samplersqs/

Materials:
Lustersheen Crochet & Knitting yarn, (any two colors)
Crochet hook, size 0 (zero)/ 3.25MM

Stitch Notes:
Work odd-numbered rows from right to left and even-numbered rows from left to right. The bottom row on the chart is Row 1. NOTE: This pattern uses American crochet stitches.

Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Yarn Over (YO)
Beginning (beg)

Gauge: 7 sc = 1 inch (but not really all important to size).

Notes: When reading rows on chart, each square equals 1 sc stitch. Each row on chart is equal to 1 row crocheted. Always work over unused strand to carry it along in work so when you need to make a color change, the new color will be where you are crocheting.

Additional Notes: To change colors, work a sc in the old color, then, YO and pull the new color through the last two loops to complete that single crochet.

Ch 17.
Row 1: (with 1st color) Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 1, turn (now and throughout) (16 sc).
Row 2: (1st color) 1 Sc in first sc; (2nd color) 1 sc in each of next 14 sc; (1 sc in last sc; ch 1, turn.
Rows 3--20: Continue pattern according to chart making necessary color changes where appropriate according to chart.

Fasten off and sew in ends with a large-eyed sewing needle. Lightly press with cool iron if desired. :)
