Materials:Crochet thread size 10 (bedspread weight cotton) Yellow and colored thread; Crochet hook size 5 (or any size you are comfortable with using size 10 thread)
Note:This also works up beautifully with DMC Perle cotton and I like to use a size 2 or 3 hook when using perle cotton.
Round 1:Starting at center with yellow thread,ch 6, dc in 6th ch from hook, (ch 2, dc in same ch) 4 times; ch 2, skip 2 ch of ch-6, sl st in next ch.
Round 2:Sc in same place as sl st, * 3 sc in next sp, sc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join and fasten off.
Round 3:Attach colored thread to same place as sl st, ch 3, dc in same place, * ch 7, skip next 3 sc, 2 dc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join.
Round 4:Sc in same place as sl st, sc in next dc, * 9 sc in next loop, sc in next 2 dc. Repeat from * around. Join and fasten off.
