Foaming Bath Oil
Items Needed
Two cups vegetable oil
One cup glycerin (found at pharmacy)
One cup liquid soap
Few drops essential oil (found in candlemaking section of craft stores)
Glass bottle with cork lid

Mix toegther all ingredients until well combined. Pour into bottle. Shake well before each use.

Dusting Powder

Items Needed
One teaspoon vegetable oil
One cup cornstarch
Few drops essential oil

Stir together essential oil and vegetable oil. In a blender slowly add oil mixture to cornstarch on a low setting. Pour into decorative container with lid.

Bath Salts

Items Needed
Two cups rock salt
One cup glycerin (found in pharmacy)
Few drops food coloring
Few drops essential oil

Mix together all ingredients. Add food coloring and essential oil to desired color and scent. Pour into a jar with tight fitting lid.

Pumice Scrub

Items Needed
Pumice stone
Two cups grated mild unscented bar soap
One cup borax detergent

Place pumice stone in baggie. Using small hammer or rubber hammer, pound the stone to a fine sand like texture. Use a rolling pin to acheive desired texture. Do not leave any chunks. Mix together pumice powder and all other ingredients. Pour into jar with tight fitting lid.

Shaving Cream

Items Needed
One quarter cup steric acid (found in candlemaking section of craft stores)
Two teaspoons vegetable oil
One cup boiling water
Two teaspoons borax detergent
Few drops essential oil

In double boiler melt steric acid and vegetable oil to a clear liquid (if you don't have a double boiler use a large pot and a clean coffee can). Mix boiling water, borax and soap until borax and soap are dissolved. Pour soap solution into blender and mix at low speed for 1 minute. With blender still on slowly pour steric acid mixture to soap mixture. Add essential oil to mixture in blender. Allow to cool completely. Scoop into container with tight fitting lid.

Christmas Candle Cup

Items Needed
Twelve oz. wax crystals (found in candlemaking section of craft store)
Half oz. essential oil
Christmas teasup with matching saucer
Precoated candle wick

Pour all of the wax crystals and essential oil in a baggie. Be sure it's closed tightly and shake to mis the crystals and oil. Pour the scented wax crystals into christmas teacup. Fill the cup until it's within one half inch from the top. Smooth the surface of the crystals and push wick into the crystals until it hits the bottom of the teacup. Trim the wick to about one half inch above the crystals. Hold a hot iron over the surface of the cup for about three minutes. This will harden the surface of the crystals.

Christmas Bowl

Items Needed
Terra Cotta plant saucer
Gold paint
Christmas ribbon or trim

Paint plant saucer with gold paint. Allow to dry completly.
With fabric glue, glue christmas trim or ribbon to outside of bowl. Add soap, washcloth or sachet to make a great gift.

Christmas Candy Box

Items Needed
Clear Silicone glue
Six four inch square tiles (in desired colors).
Masking tape
Small tiles cut to desired shapes
Marbles
Drawer pulls
Peppermint candy

Using one tile for the bottom, glue four tiles to edges of bottom. Run glue along the inside of box to reinforce edges. Use masking tape to hold box together while it dries. Glue marbles or drawer pulls to remaining large tile for cover. Glue smaller tile peices to desired locations. Add candy. Try gluing marbles or drawer pulls to bottom of box for feet too!

Christmas Soap

Items Needed
Aluminum foil
Double boiler (If you don't have a double boiler use a coffe can)
Paraffin
Bar soap
Christmas sticker
Tongs

Smooth surface of bar soap under warm water and allow to dry completly. Cover your work surface to protect it. Melt paraffin in double boiler, watching to be sure that paraffin is over heat continually. Position sticker on surface of soap and smooth any wrinkles out. Grip soap in tongs and carefully dip sticker side in paraffin. Place soap on protected work surface and allow to dry. Add more paraffin if desired. Leave one side of soap without paraffin so it can be used.
