Ezra Brewer was born in Virginia about 1821.  He married Mary Thomas.  She is most often referred to as Polly. and was born in about 1828 in Virginia.  She was the daughter of Randolph and Elizabeth Holliday Thomas.  They lived in Grayson County, Virginia during the census years 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, and 1910.  They were the parents of the following children:
1.  Sarah Brewer, born about 1850
2.  Caroline Brewer, born about 1852, married David Lovelacs.
3.  Thomas Brewer, born about 1854, married Nettie Pugh in about 1880.
     She was born in about 1853.
4.  James Brewer (See below for further information)
5.  John Brewer, born about 1858, married Alice Thomas.   After the death of
     Alice Thomas, John Brewer married Sarah Sprinkle, the daughter of Noah
     and Emiline Sprinkle.  She was born in about 1873 in Northa Carolina:
6.  Mary E. Brewer, born about 1861
7.  Martha M. Brewer, born about 1863, married Alex Pugh.  
8.  Nancy J. Brewer, born about 1868, married Marion Ball, who was born
     about 1865.
9.  Leffridge Brewer, born about 1870, married Mary Belle Darnell in about
     1901.  She was born about 1884.
10. Betty Brewer, never married.

James Brewer, born August 8, 1856, married Elizabeth Thomas prior to the 1880 census.  She was the daughter of Garfield and Bessie Hash Thomas.  She lived from August 19, 1860 until December 15, 1949.  They are buried at the Fox Cemetery in Grayson County, Virginia.  The following is a list of their children:
1.  Robena Brewer, born October 2, 1882, married Asa Ball.   They had no
     children.  Robena Brewer Ball died in December, 1966, and is buried in
     the Fox Cemetery
2.  Arthur Brewer, born April 1, 1885, married Mary Ball prior to the taking of
     the 1910 census.  She was born  about 1889.
3.  William Leffridge Brewer (See below for further  information)
4.  Roan Brewer, born July 17, 1890, married Belle Brewer in about 1910.
     She was born about 1890, and was the daughter of John and Sarah
     Sprinkle Brewer:
5.  Malinda Brewer, known as Jenny, born May 15, 1892, married Gratt
     Brewster.
6.  Rosa Elizabeth Brewer, born April 11, 1897, died March, 1994, married
     Charles Rutherford.
7.  James McKinley Brewer, born March 6, 1899, married Tiny Holdaway.
     She was born about 1900.  He died in 1981, and is buried at the Fox
     Cemetery in Grayson County, Virginia.

William Leff Brewer, born August 8, 1886, died August 20, 1958, married Verdia Sprinkle, daughter of George Washington and Myrtle Holdaway Sprinkle on August 17, 1907.  She was born May 6, 1893, and died May 28, 1964.  They are buried at the Fox Cemetery in Grayson County, Virginia.
