1. Margaret Kincaid1 Holton (Joseph2, Francis3, Francis4), daughter of Joseph Holton and Margaret Corrothers, was born Buncombe Co., NC October 26, 1805. Margaret died September 6, 1887 in Linneus, MO, at 81 years of age. Her body was interred in Bethel Church Cemetery, Linneus, MO.
She married Samuel Ryker Jr. in Jefferson Co., IN, September 15, 1825. Samuel was born in Shelby Co., KY February 7, 1806. Samuel was the son of Samuel Ryker and Barbara Fullenwider. Samuel died June 24, 1843 in Jefferson Co., IN, at 37 years of age. His body was interred in Jefferson Co., IN. Samuel's occupation: Physician.
Margaret Kincaid Holton and Samuel Ryker, Jr. had the following children:
2 i. Joseph Holton Ryker was born in Jefferson Co., IN October 8, 1826. Joseph
died July 14, 1880 in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, IN, at 53 years of age. His body was
interred in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover, IN. He married Eliza Stewart
McLelland in Jefferson Co., IN, November 2, 1848. Eliza was born in Jefferson Co., IN
April 9, 1830. Eliza was the daughter of Robert McLelland and Esther Benefiel. Eliza died
April 16, 1918 in near Hanover, IN, at 88 years of age. Her body was interred in Hanover
Cemetery, Hanover, IN.
3 ii. John Franklin Ryker was born in Canaan, IN September 25, 1828. John died
January 19, 1892 in Cedar Rapids, IA, at 63 years of age. He married
Ann Rebecca Mitchell in Cedar Rapids, IA, October 11, 1849.
4 iii. Mary Ellen Ryker was born March 22, 1831. Mary died 1890 at 59 years of
age. She married George W. McLaughlin January 17, 1850.
5 iv. William H. Ryker was born October 15, 1833. William died March 3, 1880 in
Montgomery Co., IN, at 46 years of age.
6 v. Sarah Anne Ryker was born February 10, 1836. Sarah died March 16, 1880 in
Linneus, MO, at 44 years of age. She married John W. Benefiel
December 4, 1856.
7 vi. Amanda Jane Ryker was born January 12, 1839. Amanda died January 27, 1911
at 72 years of age. She married William Harvey Benefiel in Jefferson
Co., IN, February 18, 1858.

vii. Margaret Caroline Ryker was born August 1, 1841. Margaret died
September 6, 1887 at 46 years of age. She married Samuel A.
McClelland in Jefferson Co., IN, January 24, 1860.
9. Joseph2 Holton (Francis3, Francis4) was born in York Co., PA circa 1761. Joseph died 1805 Buncombe Co., NC, at 44 years of age.
He married twice. He married unknown before 1790. He married Margaret Corrothers in Cabarrus Co., NC, May 25, 1795. The name of his Joseph Holton's first wife is not known. He had more children than I have listed but their number and their names are not known. He was taxed in York Co., PA in 1782 and apparently moved to North Carolina shortly thereafter.

She married twice. She married Joseph Holton in Cabarrus Co., NC, May 25, 1795. Joseph was born in York Co., PA circa 1761. Joseph was the son of Francis Holton and Mary. Joseph died 1805 Buncombe Co., NC, at 44 years of age. She married Samuel Ryker in Jefferson Co., IN, May 4, 1830. Samuel was born in Closter, NJ November 4, 1769. Samuel was the son of Gerardus Ryker and Rachel Demaree. Samuel died 1833 in Jefferson Co., IN, at 63 years of age. His body was interred in family cemetery near Canaan, Jefferson Co., IN. Margaret Holton moved to Ripley Co., IN about 1820. She receeived 80 acres from the U.S. government there in 1821.
13. Francis3 Holton (Francis4) was born circa 1725. Francis died 1779 in York Co., PA, at 54 years of age.
He married Mary January 1745. Mary died circa 1781. Francis Holton bought land in the Wiccaco section of Philadelphia in 1749 and sold it in 1759. He then moved to an estate named "Solitude" in Chanceford Twp., York Co., PA.
Francis Holton and Mary had the following children:

She married Francis Holton January 1745. Francis was born circa 1725. Francis was the son of Francis Holton and Margery. Francis died 1779 in York Co., PA, at 54 years of age. (See Francis Holton for the children resulting from this marriage.)
22. Francis4 Holton birth date unknown. Francis died ca 1759 in PA.
He married Margery. Margery died 1761 in York Co., PA. Francis Holton was taxed in New Garden Twp., Chester Co., PA 1732-34.
