1. Rebecca1 Moxley, daughter of William Moxley and Penelope Neale, was born in Spotsylvania Co., VA. Rebecca died in Athens, KY. Her body was interred in Christian farm opposite Boone', Athens.
She married twice. She married Joseph Bullock. She married William Shepherd in Spotsylvania Co., VA, April 3, 1799. William was the son of unknown Shepherd and unknown. William died 1815 in unknown. William became the father of Rebecca Shepherd in Fredericksburg, VA, 1810.
Rebecca became the mother of Rebecca Shepherd in Fredericksburg, VA, 1810. Rebecca Moxley Shepherd Bullock moved to Kentucky in 1832 with her daughter, Rebecca, and son-in-law, John Evans Parker. For reasons not now known, she did not wish to be buried in the cemetery at Athens. I have no date of death for her but suspect it was before 1840. The book "William Moxley" published in 1993 by J. H. Sorensen, Falls Church, VA states that the second husband of Rebecca Moxley was Thomas Bullock and does not identify the surname of her mother. My information about this family is sketchy at best.
