Howdy ho, neighbor! This site will be under construction for some time as it is my first venture into cyberspace. In the meantime I hope you find it interesting and useful. Or if nothing else I just hope you think it's purdy.

I am 22, a mom to Kayla, 2 and a half, and Jacob (will be here some time in July.) My husband, Patrick, is in the Army. I go to Armstrong Atlantic State University and am majoring in Special Education (Speech-Language Pathology) and have about three years to go. I am also a receptionist at the greatest law firm in the area - Ashman, Lasky, and Cooper. I have just gone on Disability from work until September due to my SLE. I was diagnosed with Lupus last month but have had it forever (I'm sure!) Please see my Lupus links for more information. It's something every tired, sick body should see. You never know. . .

The big bad wolf ain't gonna get me!
|
I am very thankful to God for all the blessings He has given me. You can't take the good and expect to not
have to deal with the bad. For those of us who may be pining and wishing that we might trade our troubles, I think Socrates had it right when he said the following:
If all our misfortunes were laid in one common
heap whence everyone must take an equal portion,
most people would be content to take their own
and depart.
I know God has a reason for allowing troubles to come our way. Sooner or later we'll understand. Until I do, I just put my hand in the Master's hand and trust that He'll lead me the right way. It's kind of like the Nestea commercial where the lady just falls straight back into the pool. . .she trusts that the water is there. Boy that would've been some Workman's Comp. suit if the water hadn't been there for some reason! (Sorry - that's the law office chain of thought ever-present in my head.)
Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice. (Psalm 32:11)
