SLE can be life-threatening, but it can also be controlled. If you are lucky enough to have found a good team of physicians, rely on them and let them help you. If you, like most of us, have doctor woes, be insistant that they give you proper treatment. Many of us feel shame and condescended upon when dealing with doctors but it is important to fight for your health. There are wonderful doctors out there. Find them.
