From the Jim Satchfield Collection

This car had already been turned into a convertible when I got it from a friend....apparently the hood had been crushed in a terrible rollover (or more probably was stepped on!) I replaced the bumpers, polished off that horrible white stripe and added the convertible boot....

The interior was robbed from a Mustang wreck. The convertible boot is a repo from Phil Pinion (originally red, painted tan).

Overall, it didn't turn out too bad....now one of my favorite runners.

The first two photo's show a highly modified vibrator '62 Pickup. I'm guessing that the rear end treatment is required to vent the air going thru the ground effects tunnels......

Next, we have a dump truck with a load of real rocks! Unfortunately, the glue warped and discolored the sides of the dump bed......so I added some flat gray paint which doesn't look too bad.

Then there are a couple of "toy show specials" (Fairlane and Galaxie). I found them as bare bodies with cut wheel wells....no chrome or glass. (Each one cost less than $5) With a little careful sanding and polishing, plus some of Phil Pignon's chrome and glass, they become very nice street rods...

Lastly, we have a yellow Atlas '36 Ford with wheel wells which are severely hogged out all the way around and no bumpers....... So we fill those wheel wells with some nice AFX mags with fat silicones..... This one seems to draw the most attention at the local track.
