From the Mark Ferris Collection
Submitted are two cars I bought off the same guy in a lot of about
twenty or so bodies at Dolton. Some were not too bad, these are the
exception. I threw some chassis under them and now they are two cars
I really like to run. They are a yellow Riv., and a Maserati
(spelling), was Tan, now
Gold.
(I like the the fact that the bottle of red oil is in the photo [Ed])

Alpha, Vette, Dino, and Gt250. These for now are the fastest four
T-Jets I have, they are arranged in that order from Fastest to
slowest. The 63 Vette is the car I ran at Roman's first race in
Baltimore. You can't tell from the pic, but my name is written above
the doors, this was done with Micro Mark blank decal paper and a
printer. I have other decals in the waiting.

This Chaparral was in bad shape. It had globbed on layers of testors
paint, the wheel wells were hacked square. A lot of work with some
paint thinner (before I tried Spic&Span), a little dremel work on the
rear wells, some RC Lexan paint, and some Auto World decals brought
her back to life. Now one of my favorites. The Cheetah is a Slate
Road Race Replicas model done with White spray paint and testor
silver, white, and black brush paint for details. Auto world decals
finish her off.

Ford GT40s and Ford J cars. These bodies bring back the memories.
The lead car is a replica (my attempt anyway) of the GT done in the
Model Magazine that featured the Scottsboro Raceway. It still needs the
fine detail tape to be complete. The 119 J was my first attempt at
painting a T-Jet since I got back into the hobby.

This Mako is one of my latest. Testors Gold spray can, and Dutch
Boys Satin black coat this once globbed with red paint t-jet. The
black paint on the middle sections hides the fact that there are no
window posts well. Those darn postes are too thin. The Javelin is
done in Pearl Purple Lexan paint and Auto World decal cover both
bodies.

Remeber the Auto World paper car design? This was my attempt as a
kid. Not much to look at, but it has survived the years. The VW
thing was Camo Green, in 1983, it's latest paint scheme is Metalic
Grey, one of the first cars I painted when I got back into the hobby
Two and a half years ago.

One of my first serious attempts of painting when I was a kid. Done
all in testors brush paint, air craft model decals, and Buck Rogers
Maruader decals finish off this ... well .. car.
