A Note From Dan ---------------------- This Page Will Eventually Be Updated
|
Welcome/Bienvenue to my little spot. I am the owner and builder of this little web page. This page is still in its premature state so please don't be too upset if you find it rather boring. In the future I hope to make it more interesting but for now this will have to do.
I suppose I should at least let you know who I am. I am Daniel E. Cotnoir from Connecticut. In the chatrooms I am known as Danuconn. I am 18 years old and am in my second year of college here at the University of Connecticut. My major is Electrical Engineering and I also work a second shift job as a security officer. I spend some of my spare time on the eaglechat network(IRC).
P.S. I am not responsible for any of the advertisements on this page-----also, any constructive critisizm would be very much appreciated :-)
2Thes.3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Actually I decided to throw 2 related scriptures at you
Galations 4:9
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggerly elements, where unto ye desire to again to be in bondage?
Dan's Angle: In this scripture Paul, that great apostle and messenger to the first age, is speaking about something that I feal is very important. The primary question which I am forced to ask myself time and again is,"Lord, why is it that even after all that you have done for me I always fail you?" I can't even begin to describe how much grace the Lord has freely given me. I am but a weak worthless sinner who deserves nothing but to be cast off forever. Yet God, out of His great love, has forgiven me and lifted me up unto heavenly places. For this I am truly greatfull and want with all of my heart to serve God to the very fullest. However, when faced with trials and temptations I seem to fail 90% of the time. Why do we do we do this? Is it becuase we are weak? Is it becuase we are bad? Is it becuase we do not love God enough? Is it becuase we were never saved in the first place? I don't know. I do, however, think that it has a great deal to do with the simple fact that we are still stuck in these earthen vessles. Oh, that can be looked upon as a copp out but that is not my intention. Even Paul himself said that he had to struggle to do that which he knew he should do. So my prayer is not,"Lord make me better" or,"Lord help me win these battles." Rather, my prayer is: "Lord help to lean on you. Lord I am so weak. Forgive me Lord for trying to lean on my own strength at times. There is none good but you God, so please help me to rely solely on you. Through you Lord I know that I can make it!"
Galations 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Dan's Angle: Brothers and sisters we have been delivered from the bondage that we once lived in. Let us move forward into the fullness of Christ. Let us not allow the things that lay to the left or to the right delay us. We must move straight forward and not stop untill we reach our goal! He that is free may he be free indeed!!!

"An Exposition of the Seven Church Ages" William Marrion Branham Page#272---middle paragraph(second half)
...Now this is what Heb.6:1-9{Dan urges you to read this} speaks of, which was brought out so carefully in the Pergamean Age. You can't go along with just part of the Word, you have to take ALL of the Word. There are people who seem involved in the things of God almost one hundred percent. They are like Judas. No one but Jesus knew exactly what kind of a person Judas was. So the day came that judas did exactly what Israel did at Baal-Peor. He decided he wanted to join with the false vine forces-enter into the financial, political organization of anti-word, anti-Christ religion and he did so. He was fooled! The other eleven were not. They could not be, for they were of the very elect. So when Judas left and betrayed the Lord his name was removed from the book of life.
Dan's Angle: You may ask yourself,"What is the consequence of not taking all of the Word and actually liveing it out? I mean isn't ok to take most of it?" I hope that after reading this quote from the messenger to the last age that you realize that the Word of God is not to be taken lightly. There is no "do what you can" agreement here. It is very simply laid out that since God gave us His word we need not only to believe it but live it. Now, the last person that I would like to behave as is Judas. I am sure thaat this is about as neutral an agreement amongst us that can be found. However, it appears that it may be easier to find ourselves acting like the betrayer than we think. The illustartion given of Israel at Moab fits very nicely into this discussion. The most important thing to notice is that these Israelites had come so far. Not only had they miraculously been delivered from Egypt but they had been led by the cloud and the pillar of fire. They had seen the sea parted, eaten manna, and drank water from the rock. However, as blessed as they had been when they got to Moab they still worshipped the idols at the feast of Baal-Peor. Oh how I sometimes feel as though I am behaving just as those ungratefull Israelites did. After the mighty work that God has done in our lives how can we be swayed so easily? Well, the sorry thing is that not one of those israelites who partook in that paegen feast entered the promised land. They all died in the wilderness short of recieving the fullness of what God had for them. If we don't press on and do all of what God wants us to we have the very same thing to look forward to. God does not change His ways. God help me to be like those eleven apostles. Those apostles stuck with Christ through thick or thin. When it looked totally crazy they continued with Christ. They stuck with it untill they recieved the HolyGhost. They then went out and told the whole world about it. We are the products of what those faithfull saints did. And then after thier incredible sacrifice for our Lord thier only earthly reward was toturous death. Lord forgive me. I have it so easy here and find myself being too lazy to push on. Give me what those early apostles and believers had. Not for me Lord, but that you might be lifted up higher.
