A Dedication Poem

Tred Lightly On

This Heart Of Mine

Tred lightly on this heart of mine,

you see it breaks so easily.

For the love I hold inside is real

even in it's fragility.

I weep for others,

for they know not,

what pain and sorrow awaits

because of wars and battles fought

Over issues, they know not.

They pick up guns so easily,

and kill their fellow man.

This was not the intention of God above,

What ever happened to

the commandment of Love?

I shed tears of hope.

Will they soon see,

What will become of you and me?

A world of peace and harmony?

I cry tears of anger

For the way man has forgotten

to love all living things.

For life was given as a gift,

not to take in anger..

To kill, it is a sin

no matter what the reason.

For thou shall not kill, it is written,

or punishment is God's intention.

I shed tears of joy

when I see the hope of children,

for they will become our future.

Good will ambassadors, is their mission

to erase the hate the world now holds,

and replace it with love, as God intended.

So hold on to the promise

God gave from above.

Remember the commandment,

For thou shalt LOVE.
