In the film titanic Rose De witt Bukater discribes herself as being on the outside everything a well brought up girl should be but on the inside she says she feels like she's stood in a crowded room screaming at the top of her lungs with noone who notices or noone who even cares, that is until she meets Jack Dawson (Leonardo Dicaprio) a 3rd class passenger who won his ticket on titanic in a "lucky hand at poker". When she meets him shes standing on the back of the titanic about to jump off when Jack talks her down. For Jack it's love at first sight but for Rose it takes slightly longer. There are alot of things that stand in their way though as Rose is engaged to a horrible but rich man named Caledon Hockley. They get by though until the final tragedy, the sinking of the titanic..............

Kate Winslet was born on October 5th 1975 and had her first acting experience playing the role of the virgin Mary when she was just 5 years old. Since then she has been in lots of other T.V shows and films including Sense and sensibility, Jude, Heavenly creatures, Hamlet and Titanic.
