Notes - This story's length is unknown to be. Crying Moon had a total
of eight parts to it, whereas Deadly Relams only had three. This is
already at part 2 and I don't know how much more it will be. Hopefully
not all that long, I'm aiming at around four, maybe five parts. We'll
see.

This story gives you a little better look at how this Crystal Tokyo
(in this universe) is set up.. a bit different than the norm but it
works for this story and the next. Many of my stories in the Crying
Moon saga will be set in Crystal Tokyo.

(Crystal Tokyo)

	"Miss Rei?" a voice peeps. I spin around to face the person
who has intruded into my sacred hide-a-way.
	"What do you want.." I practicly whisper this, my eyes
narrowing, gleaming with anger.
	"Your presence is to be reqired today at three. Something about
a meeting at the high court of Serenity and all guardians are required
to be there."
	"Stuff it up your.." I begin, but stop. What good will it do to
blow up at this stranger? What has she done to me? Nothing really but
startled me. Yes, that is all.. That's all I need to know. That's all
the matters. Just a chance encounter, ne?
	"Please, Princess of Mars, you need to be there." the messenger
looks at me sadly, like she doesn't want to be here. With me. "The
Queen said she especially hoped YOU would come."
	"Good for her!" I bark. "I'll do as I please and go where I
choose. I just fought for her, what else do I need to do?!"
	"I, I.." the girl stammers for a momment. "I'll go know."
	"See that you do." I glare at her again, and she is off. For
some reason, I just hate PEOPLE now. All because of HIM.
	Yes, oh, yes, him. I don't care about anyone else. They'll all
hurt me. I fought for Neo-Queen Serenity and Crystal Tokyo not long
ago*, why should I have to attend this stupid party? They call it
meeting. It's just an excuse for her to get some new dress and flirt
with all the other men at the party. And I mean ALL the men there.
And she does it in front of Endymion, has she no shame? I mean,
honestly, is he REALLY happy with HER? I know Setsuna feels the same
way _I_ do. And she loves Endymion and I love Mamoru.
	I secertly beleive her and Endymion are having an affair and
Neo-Queen Serenity isn't going to do anything about it. She isn't
exactly the most faithful wife either, so the grapevine says.
	I don't want to go. Without _him_. No, I can't, but in a way, I
should. I really should. I had better get re-aqainted with all my old
friends, like Ami, Makoto, Minako.. and Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna,
Hotaru... last I heard, Ami was a doctor or SOMETHING. And SHE had
found and kept her true love, Taiki.
	Oy, those starlights. They're living among us now, and Ami and
Taiki were wed quite a while ago. Seiya's still around here somewhere
and I don't really care. Yaten? Last I heard she had completely
dropped her male persona and married some man with red hair. Kurama?
Who knows. New target for Serenity, in my opinion.
	Might as well consider going to that event. Maybe I'll turn over
a new leaf. Meet a new man. But do I really want that to happen? Can
anyone ever replace HIM?
	Oy, no. Never.
	I'll never get that lucky.

(Tokyo)

	"..So after THAT I never saw HER again!" he finished yet another
joke/story and I laughed, laughed, laughed.
	"I wouldn't.. *heh*.. think so!" I giggled, leaning against him.
"But who cares, who would want to?"
	"Exactly, Rei, I got you." I grinned. "What more do I need?"
	"Nothing, if you know what's good for you." I flashed him one
of my own smiles, though they aren't as spectacular as his. NOTHING
is. His smiles are like from another planet, he's so dreamy and all
that, you know?
	"And I know what's good for me." Whatever-his-name-is grinned.
	"Um, anyway, I really really really want to know your name." I
sighed. "It's kind-of.. well, important, you know?"
	"Nope. Adds mystery, suspence.."
	"LOOK!" I shouted, a bit more angry than intended. "I don't
CARE about whatever you think is important and what not. Give me your
friggin' name already! Do you know what I had to blow off for this?!"
	"Calm down, Rei-chan.." he sighed. "If you really want to know,
I WILL tell you. But you must understand that it's a secert and your
friend's can't know, okay?"
	"Uh, okay.." I gulped. "But I don't really understand WHY."
	"Just listen to me, okay?" he demanded. I nodded. "The name's
Kenji."
	"Kenji? Kenji who?" I asked.	
	"That's not important, is it? You can call me by Kenji, do you
really need nor want to go father?" he looked at me. With really
kawaii puppy-eyes. I shook my head. "Good. Let's do something, ne?"
	"'Kay." I smiled and he locks me into an embrace. We're just
sitting at Crown, nobody cares. I'm in my own world and having the
time of my life... and living it up every single momment. Let them
stare. Let them care. I don't. I love him, he loves me, and that's
that... right?

(Crystal Tokyo)

	I slowly entered the meeting hall, not knowing what was really
going on. Everyone was in their little groups, and this was defidently
a party, that's for sure. Oh, well, I'm not surprised.
	Serenity was over with Seiya in one corner, talking away. Huh.
It's like the oppisite of the first time we met those freaks. They're
all freaks, all three of them**.
	Just then, Yaten decides it's time to bump into me. "Why, hello
there, mars. Almost didn't reconize you there."
	"Shuddap ya whore." I snap. Old habits die hard. Yaten glares
at me.
	"Oh, I'm scared." she snorts, and walks off to her boyfriend,
or husband, or whoever he is. Last I checked they were engaged, but
that was when? I gotta get out more.
	I slowly walk over to Haruka. Another freak, like the other
outers. "Hello, HARuka.***"
	"Rei?! I thought you were dead!" she exclaims, and I think she
was only half-kidding.
	"Shaddap, les." I'm not going to let her get the last laugh.
The room turned silent and most eyes were on me at the seething..
well, lesbian.
	"Smart mouth you have, there, inner. Where have you been?"
Michiru slowly says.
	"Not that you care, I've been having some fun with my life," I
lie.
	"Don't tell me THIS is starting again." Makoto mutters. I glare
at her and she winces.
	"You.. ain't.. in.. this.. and.. never.. was.." I stammer.
	"Yes, Rei, she was. We ALL were. Where have you been, you..
liar?!" Ami demands. We haven't been on good terms lately.
	"Places to go, people to see, better than you sluts." I murmer.
That sure got everyone's attention.	
	"You want a fight, you got it!" Yaten exclaims. The red haired
guy.. not bad looking, actually.. grabs her and I spot the right. Oy,
a freak got married and I don't have a man in the world anymore.
	"Not to take advantage on herms, sorry, Starhealer." I smile,
though a teasing one, and they know it's that.
	"Keep Yaten out of this." the guy warns.
	"What's your name?" I ask quickly. He seems a little surprised
at the question, but still, he answers rather polietly.
	"Kurama, and you know that, Rei." Oh yeah! I remember HIM. A
little bitterly, at that****.
	"Oh, yeah, YOU." there's a pretty big silence, and Yaten seems
a little.. angry and confused. As do many of the other senshi in the
room.
	"Come on, everyone.." Small Lady exclaims. "I don't want a
FIGHT." she grinns at everyone. "Let's just talk to me, ne?"
	"Oy, Small Lady, go back to bed." Serenity sighs. Endymion
shakes his head.
	"But I don't WANNA!" she whines patheticly. "DIANA gets t' stay
up a' late a' she wants and I don't getta!" Actually, Chibi, hate to
break it to you, but you do get to. Same with everything ELSE, for
that matter..
	"All right, you can, you can, princess." Endymion sighs and
sends her off to play with all the other children running around.
There's quite a few, though not as many as Sailorpluto seems to want..
I don't think so, at least, but she keeps on muttering things related
to the number of children currently with a chance they'll have senshi
powers when they get old enough. Only a few have given hints they will
inherit their parent's powers.
	Which doesn't exactly look GOOD for the future no matter how you
look at it.
	"Oh, Rei, you're here!" exclaims Minako. "I.. we.. thought you,
er, wouldn't wanna come or anything.." she laughs nervously. "BUT, I'm
glad you did. Come on, let's go for a walk." she leads me out to the
balcony, which houses a spectactular view of most of Crystal Tokyo.
	"What to you want?!" I snap. She doesn't seem to notice my
anger, or if she does, she doesn't show it.
	"Rei," she pauses for a momment and looks at me directly in the
eyes. "what's up with you?"
	"Huh." I mutter.
	"You know what I mean!! You're always hideing away. Until not
long ago, I thought you were DEAD, okay! You used to be my best friend
and now y' seem to hate me. Mind telling me why?!"
	"No." I start to turn away, but she grabs my wrist and yanks me
with.. a whole lot of force.
	"Yes, you do, you will. Rei, I'm your FRIEND, okay? You can tell
me what's on your mind, right?"
	"Wrong! You just wouldn't understand. It's nothing." I lie.
	"If it's nothing why won't I understand?!" Oups.
	"None of your business."
	"YES IT IS!" she shrieks. "It won't leave me, Rei, I'm not
exactly the blond I used to be and you SHOULD know that."
	"Good for me."
	"Rei," she starts, and I shake my head.
	"Hush, already. You really want to hear the story?"
	"YES, Rei, I do! Can you PLEASE open up to me for once in my
LIFE?!" she whines. "I'm your friend. I used to be one of your BEST
friends. So please, whatever's wrong, maybe I can help. We're partners
Rei, and we're friends. So.. please?" I sigh and she winces. Finally
I give in.
	"You might get mad, you know." I admit. "I haven't exactly been
faithful to the senshi ways."
	"Whad'ya do, sleep with Endymion?" she jokes.
	"NO! Maybe better.. maybe even worse than that." I admit. She
goes a little bug-eyed.
	"Tell me. PWEASE?" she whines. I finally decide that I'd better
give in.
	"You really want to hear and SWEAR you won't tell a SOUL?"
	"Cross my heart and hope to die." she crosses her fingers over
her chest and smiles at me. "And you can hold me to that."
	"Okay. Come to my temple at midnight tomorrow and I'll tell you.
I can't have a chance of anyone else knowing, okay?"
	"That bad?" she asks.
	"Yep. Sure you wanna hear it?"
	"Positive, Rei." she smiles at me. "Don't worry, okay? It's
gonna be fine."
	"Okay." I sigh. "Maybe I might as well tell YOU. We'd better
get back to the party."
	"Meeting," she corrects.
	"Same thing around here." I smile, and we both start to laugh..
just like the older days.

	Well, I'm about to do it.
	About to reveal my biggest secert to, well, Minako. And am I
really being wise about doing so? I mean, honestly, she's, well,
MINAKO. And I'm telling HER?
	But who else could I tell? There's Usagi, er, Serenity, and we
just aren't on as good of terms anymore. She hates me, I hate her,
and there's nothing I can do about it, ne?
	Still, all and all, I don't know who else I could go to. Surely
not Haruka or Michiru and defidently not Hotaru or Small Lady.
Setsuna? No way. Seiya, Taiki, Endymion? Wouldn't feel comfterable
going to a man in this case. Kurama? Part of the problem! Ami or
Makoto? No, not really. Yaten? Hah, I don't know her very well
anymore, even compared to the others, and.. well, I don't much care
for her, either. Chibichibi? Uh, new question please. And nobody else
either.
	There's a knock at my door. Might as well answer it, what else
should I do, anyway?
	It's Sailorvestas. "Rei, can I TALK to you?" she asks sternly.
	"Sure, come right in." for some reason, I have no grudges
against her, or Cooan whenever I come across her. I guess it's the
simalarities or something, but they remind me of, well, me, and for
that reason I trust them or something.
	"I kind of have to hurry. Have you seen Jana-la lately?"
	"Huh? You meen Ami's kid? Nope, not at all." I say truthfully.
Come to think of it, I hadn't seen her at all after the 'meeting'.
Or before that, whenever I was out.
	"Well, guess what, she's missing and nobody knows WHERE she is.
We think she was kidnapped."
	"Kidnapped?! That's horrible! Do you have any leads or
anything like that?"
	"No, not a clue. So as not to create a panic, we Asteroid Senshi
are on the job, but I was wondering if you could lend a hand."
	"Why did you think of me?" I ask, a little surprised.
	"Serenity said she trusted you with the job. She thinks you and
you alone could handle it and Ami agreed."
	"WHAT?!" I exclaim. Serenity and Ami both hate me, and I know
that for sure. Maybe they just want me to get shot or something. But,
maybe looking for Jana-la could help me get a little back on track
with the other senshi and give me something to do. Let me fight, like
I always used to love to do as Sailormars.
	"Will you take the job?" she repeats. There is a long pause.
	"Okay." I smile lightly. "Now, Ves.."
	"Hmm?"
	"Leave." I shut the door quite hasitlly and return to my room.
