Stephanie's Last Tribute to her beloved brother Vernon

(words spoken at Vernon's funeral)

I would like to thank everyone for being here. Everyone that knew Vernon, knew that he was a very special person. If  anyone ever  needed something, he would get it for them, no matter if he had it or not. Vernon lived only 25 short years, and in those 25 years he touched many people's lives. This was not supposed to happen this way, my brother and I were supposed to grow old together. He always protected me and watched over me. I know that he is still watching over me. He loved all of us very much. Saturday, we found a paper were he had written down scriptures from the the Bible. " Quoted was :" Philippians 4:13~  I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.    Vernon also wrote some quotes of his own.

" Allow yourself time to change."     " We are imperfect."  " God never requires you to do anything that wasn't built in life to make you stronger."

" Mistakes we make we must repent to open our terminals for God to come in  and changes us."  My brother loved the Lord, he just made a poor decision. I want this to be a learning experience for everyone.

I went to my first Prom this year, and before I left this picture was taken, so that my dear brother could *share* it with me. The one beneath is when we were smaller, Vernon was my big brother and I Loved him so much.

I missed him so much at my graduation, that my mom had the pic that was made there, edited to fit my beloved brother in. It looks like we are all there together now, just as how it should have been, don't you think?
