First of all, I want to thank everyone for coming. Vernon was so lucky to have all the wonderful friends and family he had. He was so thoughtful, caring, loving, and loyal to everyone around him. If I was upset about something or just having a bad day, all I had to do was talk to Vernon and he had a way of making it better. I will never forget his smile, laugh, sense of humor, or personality that lit up every room he entered. Through the years me and Vernon shared many laughs and tears, but above all we shared a love that couldn't be broken. When Vernon left he took my heart with him, but he left the memories of all the good times we shared I  think I can speak for everyone in the room when I say Vernon made a great impact on all of our lives. We all have our own memories to hold onto. I talked to Vernon the night he passed away, and the last words we said to each other were. " I LOVE YOU", and I knew he meant it. You didn't have to see or talk to Vernon everyday to know he was your friend. If he was your friend,  he was your friend for life. A person like Vernon comes along once in a liftime. We are so lucky to have known him. JoAnn, Vernon, Stephanie, and all of Vernon's family, my heart goes out to you. My pain is so great, I can not begin to imagine yours. I love all of you, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
