For each of us there are a number of dates that are important
The day we were married
The day we started with our employer
Our birthday
Today happens to be my 40th birthday
The world calls that....
....over the hill but in Biblical terms 40 is
the number of testing and there is also a promise of God that
makes me shrug at the way the world views aging....
{40:31} But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Ironically I have recently been mistaken for
around 30 I don't mind being told I look younger than my years
There is one date that is even more important to me than my birth date
it is the day I met the Lord Feb 5th, 1990,
ironically my mother's birthday
I was 31, the age I'm most often mistaken for
and a clue to my youthful secret which is this....
A Psalm of David.
{103:1} Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. {103:2} Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: {103:3} Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies; {103:5} Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalms 103:1-5
Man does not live by bread alone
I love to eat
the word of God it has changed me
bringing newness of life to me
I see what eternity means
it is about being ageless
