Animal Farm

Animal Farm is a book I remember reading in High School. It was a story in which the animals held a revolt and took over the farm. They wrote on the wall of the barn a list of rights. One of them being that "all animals are created equal."

The pigs become the leaders and eventually move into the farm house. The other animals remember the rights written on the wall and go back to read them, but now it reads, "all animals are created equal but some are more equal then others".

Eventually the pigs become men and the farm returns to being like it was before.

This novel is about the doomed failure of communist ideology. In reality all ideology is doomed.

{55:9} For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

We want to be the great discoverer,
the great philosopher,
the great ideologue.
Why? Does it make you special to come up with an idea God gave you?
Clearly if there is a God there is nothing you can know
that He does not already know.
No thought you can share that He is not aware of.

Perhaps this is why so many who yearn for the uniqueness of being an ideologue miss the simplicity of being a child. For the simplicity in being a child is not in debating the rules written on the barn yard wall, but in knowing the one who loves you.
There are two kinds in this world. Those who live in their head, and those who live in their heart. For one the rules change as what they know changes.
But for the man who lives in his heart this is true: Love doesn't change the rules, it is the rule. We all need to love and be loved For it is the flow of love in our life That gives us a passion for life
