A fountain of water springs from the earth
It pools into a small stream
It begins it's journey to the sea
In some places the stream may even seem to disappear
Only to reappear broader and deeper
The waters gather and the stream becomes a river
As long as there is a flow
this river overcomes all in it's journey
If it meets an obstacle it either moves it or goes around it
The river overcomes and will flow onward
Ever onward until it empties itself
into the vastness of the great waters
In many ways our lives reflect the river
There is a fountain of life that feeds us
There are obstacles in our lives
Eventually we too are emptied
The course of the river is partly determined by what it encounters
The obstacles, the easy places
These will be part of the river's life
Times of it's journey
But the nature of the river is not determined by it's course
It is determined by the flow at the fountain
If we keep our eyes on the course of the river
Our focus is on the success and failure we have
But if our eyes are ever on the source
The flow from the fountain will overcome all

Let His fountain flow into your life
Be a river born of God
