{14:23} And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23

Many will try to gain their righteousness
By working on their behavior
But there is a righteousness that comes from God
It is the righteousness that comes by faith


If your awareness is towards your relationship with God
If your focus is upon the union between you and Him
Then faith will grow and sin will wither
He will lead you out of the darkness and out of sin
Out of those things that you know are wrong that you keep doing


The only thing that keeps us in sin once we have made Him our Savior
Is our reluctance to make Him Lord over every aspect of our life
These are the places where our faith is misplaced
This is the source of all our sin


Righteousness consciousness will continually work
upon the relationship with God
Sin consciousness will only lead to the frustration of wondering
How good is good enough
Or how much sin can I get by with
Sin consciousness will work on behavior and NOT right relationship


God told Abraham,
     
      "walk rightly before me and I will be your God"
   


Abraham believed God and it was credited to him for righteousness
And even though Abraham still messed up he continued to walk rightly
Because he was righteousness conscious and kept the relationship
Despite his own behavior


There is a difference between walking rightly 
And trying to be right
One loves God
The other loves correctness


Sin consciousness can lead to repentance
Which should lead to righteousness consciousness

{8:1} There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Now which will you walk after
Sin consciousness of the flesh
Or the righteousness consciousness that comes from 
a relationship with the Spirit of God
