The two servants who employed the talents their master gave them
Were told, "enter thy masters joy"
The one servant who hide the talent
Was cast out into the darkness
Faith is a gift given us by the master
Employee it and enter your masters joy
Hide it and you will find yourself in darkness
Men reason amongst themselves
Why this is so, or that is the case
They rationalize and theorize
The Pharisees did this
Jesus warned against such yeast
Abraham believed God
He believed God loved him
He believed whatever God said do was the best thing to do
Abraham employed his faith
He didn't reason with anyone but God
We have such little faith
We reason amongst ourselves
We look at what the world thinks
We aren't committed to the fact of God's love
Do you want great faith?
Be like Abraham, David, Noah, Daniel
These men all had one thing in common
They were unreasonably committed
They employed their faith
Higher faith requires deeper love
Believe God
It pleases God
When you enter into His joy
{11:21} And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. {11:22} And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. {11:23} For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shallnot doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. {11:24} Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:21-24
(scriptural note: Jesus said this in answer to a question about a fig tree He cursed for not bearing fruit, draw the connection to wicked servant in the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 )
