I could tell my words fell upon deaf ears
The words that I knew would bring healing
Yet they wouldn't be heard
in fact they would be angrily rejected
My heart was grieved
I did my best to restate
I did my best to illustrate
I did my best to redirect
I did my best to demonstrate
But my words fell on deaf ears
Oh how it hurts when somebody you love
just will not hear
Oh how it hurts when you become resigned to the fact
that they refuse to listen
Oh how it hurts when words of healing fall upon deaf ears
{12:39} Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, {12:40} He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
John 12:39-40
All that is left is to pray and trust
Trust the Lord will be able to open their ears
Pray that somehow they will feel the heaviness of your heart
Trust that the lie that blinds them is revealed as a lie
Pray that the Lord will find a witness they will hear
All that is left is to pray and love
Wait and trust
Hope
Let your thoughts surround them
Not thoughts of anger or disappointment
But the heaviness of knowing their healing awaits them
If they will only hear it
Faith, it is the substance of things hoped for
Let your heart thoughts, your hopes, remain in this place
Surrounding them with your love
Knowing their healing waits for them to hear
Faith will come
"The Lord is my shepherd I shall not be in want"
