Columbus stood on a hill
and he saw the world turning round
Einstein closed his eyes
and realized light was both wave and particle
Newton sat beneath a tree
and perceived the invisible force of gravity
These men all held one thing in common
they had a moment of inspiration
a moment when they perceived the truth
a moment that changed the world view of reality
Truth is reality
science can be no more than a reflection of that
often the truth does not come by rational thinking
but rather by seemingly irrational leaps
it often comes by inspiration
Inspiration is the moment
when chaos is brought to order
it is the moment of contact with truth
it is the unfolding of the greater reality
Where does this truth come from
How are we inspired
Try this
Close your eyes
now silently count to five
Did you hear your own voice in your head
Have you ever heard a voice in your head say
you know you shouldn't do this
Some call that your conscience speaking
Or have you ever heard in your head
go for it, you can get away with it
I wonder who's voice that might be
Our mind has the wonderful ability
to hear and playback voices
ever hear music in your head
you know, a song you really like
How about
the sound of loved ones calling your name
So where does inspiration come from
I am convinced it comes
when we hear the voice
of the one named Truth
