The test of spiritual concentration
is bringing the imagination into captivity
"Take every thought that exalts itself against Christ and cast it down,
take every vain imagination captive"
Our spiritual strength comes from our love and faith in God
our reliance on Him
and our resolve to focus upon Him
"Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith"
"I do only what I see my Father do,
and say only what I hear my Father say"
As we focus our thoughts on Him
as we bring ourselves before Him with our imagination
our minds become renewed
we are transformed into His likeness
"You, O Lord, are my meditation and my salvation"
To be made into the image of God we must do one thing
"Imagine Christ and the love of Christ"
God does the rest
{15:48} As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. {15:49} And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
