In The Secret Place Life is full of ironies
Sometimes you have to live them to see them
With all of my traveling recently I've learned about being alone
You can be in a crowd
Yet not understand a word anyone is saying
And have the sense of being totally alone
This sense then becomes amplified when you come home
You see all that you've missed
You fell isolated, separated, alone
People come into your life
For a moment you have their company
You share their light and then they leave
You're alone again
At times you feel forsaken
Abandoned and forgotten
Times like these I find a quiet place
Maybe a park or even just in the yard
And I make myself still, very still
It is moments like these
When we can come into the secret place
The place where only you can go
Alone with your thoughts
Yet you're not alone
{4:16} At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. {4:17} Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
2 Timothy 4:16-17
In our moments of solitude
As we reflect upon who we are
As we venture into the secret place
God listens and reminds us
Do not build your faith on light that fades
Build it upon the light that never fails
I will never leave you nor forsake you
When He gets you alone
That's when God does His best work
In the secret place
That place where you are alone with Him
That place where you know nothing
Yet you know all
Life is full of ironies
{91:1} He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. {91:2} I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. {91:3} Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Psalms 91:1-3
