Mustard Seed

I normally don't make comments about what I write but this one deserves some. The development of our faith is perhaps the most important aspect of learning to walk in love with Christ. The fact that "without faith" it is impossible to please God says so much. It reflects the notion that our faith is a reflection of His love in our lives. Yet we are of such little faith.

Hopefully in reading this you will see and hear and understand. That these words will be a seed of faith, a testimony that eventually produces great faith in you. That you will see why the great commission of Jesus is, "Go, be witnesses, testify of me".

There are so many ways to plant and receive the seed of faith which is testimony. Writing the scriptures in various places, like Joshua wrote. On the palms of your hands, your door posts. Just sharing with others the everyday things Jesus has done in your life. One of my favorites is to keep a personal journal, where I write down all the little things as well as the big things.

It is my hope that after reading the Mustard Seed, you will start to recognize the real value of testimony and how it eventually produces faith. How in truth this is how we Increase our faith.

With love, Rocky

{4:23} If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. {4:24} And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. {4:25} For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. {4:26} And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; {4:27} And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. {4:28} For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. {4:29} But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. {4:30} And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? {4:31} It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 4:32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. Mark 4:23-32

When the disciples asked Jesus
'Lord increase our faith'
Jesus answered saying,
'if you had faith as small as a grain of mustard seed'

There is a process to the development of faith And the truth is it is actually very simple It reflects the Genesis principle Like begets like, you reap what you sow
If I take a mustard seed As small as it is and plant it I do not know exactly how But I do know it becomes a great tree
A seed becomes a blade, then an ear then the fruit Seed => blade => ear => fruit
Faith is as a fruit It comes by hearing Hearing comes by the word But how does the word come?
Let every word be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses
Testimony is the seed of faith In fact you can see this in that what your faith produces is a testimony! When you share testimony of what things God has done in your life Each testimony becomes a seed that can grow in some ones heart And as that person hears more testimony they start to recognize it as God's word Then they hear God Then faith comes and produces
Testimony => word => hearing => faith
And THAT faith then becomes seed Seed that person can scatter with their testimony
Like begets like You reap what you sow Testify of Jesus in your life Plant good seeds It will increase your faith
...If you had faith as small as a grain of mustard seed
