Have you ever struggled to get an answer from God
sure you have
You prayed and you prayed
but the door seemed closed
and your prayers fell to the floor
Something wasn't right
It was probably your heart


If we will get our hearts right before God
and work to keep it that way
heaven will be opened to us
So how do we keep our hearts right?

{11:6} But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Often we are hindered by getting out of faith with God
we won't get into prayer and wrestle with that sin in our lives
we won't get before Him and wrestle with our will
we say to ourselves
God knows, He'll forgive me, He'll handle it
He might
but He might want you to be involved too


Jesus came to reveal who God is to us
He also came to reveal who we are to us
too many times we only get half the revelation
faith is a two-way street


God wants us to know He loves us unconditionally
He also wants to be God unconditionally
and yet so often we are unwilling to let go of something
we won't let God have us
we hold back
we won't let God be God over that part of our life
and thus
a part of our heart is not right with God

{3:18} My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. {3:19} And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. {3:20} For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. {3:21} Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. {3:22} And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1 John 3:18-22

Let God be God
find that place that's not right with God
take it to Him
wrestle with it till you get it before Him
and He will strengthen you

{26:38} Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. {26:39} And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. {26:40} And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? {26:41} Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. {26:42} He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. {26:43} And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. {26:44} And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. {26:45} Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Matthew 26:38-45

Even Jesus wrestled with His will before the Father

and pray
it's to your benefit
because when you get ALL your heart right with God
God will be pleased AND
heaven will open to you
