The Cup of Christ

{12:3} For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3

What is this measure of faith?
does everyone have it or just Christians

When I think about measure a cup comes to mind and a cup has a capacity
Do we have a capacity for faith? Is that what this means

{2:13} For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13

We are made to have a capacity for faith
everyone believes in something
unfortunately it is often not God

We make our own vessel and place our faith in it and what happens it won't hold water
But Christ comes along a perfect vessel and we place our faith there and we are made whole
So now we are faced with a choice which vessel will you place your faith in your broken vessel or the perfect vessel of Christ in you
How much will you trust in Christ? How much faith are you willing to place in Him? To Him it was given, without measure To us only as much as we can hold
Why? Because we can only hold as much as the cup we drink from our cup or His

{4:22} For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. {4:23} If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. {4:24} And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. {4:25} For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. Mark 4:22-25
