{3:7} And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. {3:8} And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Genesis 3:7-8
Are you hiding
What things do you do that you wouldn't want others to know about
What things do you THINK that you wouldn't want everyone to hear?
We feel secure in our hiding
They don't see what I'm doing
They don't know what I'm thinking
God knows
How often would we do these hidden things
if we were immediately exposed
How long would we hang onto these hidden thoughts
if they were immediately known
We stand on the edge of righteousness
Knowing His judgement is right
And just because of that we are made righteous
But how long will we stand on the edge of the darkness
Not being purified by the light because of the things we hide
Jesus cleared the temple saying,
"My Father's house is a house of prayer"
We are that house
And when we go into our closet to pray what will we find there?
Will it be full of the things we're trying to hide?
If you sense your prayers aren't getting through
Open the closet door
Clean it out
Then get in and close the door and pray
Stop trying to hid
If you find yourself doing, saying and
thinking thinks you want to hide
Take these things to Him!
Listen for His judgement on it
Be patient it may take you time to hear
But when you do....
You will know the truth and be set free
Every hidden thing you expose to the light
Is another place where you have come out of the dark
A place where your heart has been made pure
Each step you take this way is a step closer to Him
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God
