In fact my watching this movie "Fools Rush In", happens to be a perfect illustration itself of the divine operating in my life and the emphasis of When. I looked at the description of the story, intellectualized it and decided I wouldn't like it. Then my wife picked it up and rented it. Now I'm very glad she did.

When Fools Rush In


Timing is everything
If you spend all your time intellectualizing 
Reason will lead you astray
If you spend all your time emotionalizing 
Passion will lead you astray
This is man's timing


Who are we to presume that we know better than love 
It isn't our faith that betrays us
It is our fear
We don't trust love
You will never know love unless you surrender to it


Wise men say only fools rush in
But they don't know the wisdom of love
They only know their own intellect and emotions
They have some emotional and intellectual ideas of love
They only know man's timing


But truly it is a wiser man who knows he doesn't know
Who realizes something greater than himself
Who watches the path of his life for the way he should go
This man knows love
This man knows God's timing
The world may call him a fool


He knows that when this kind of fool rushes in
God is with him
Because he is on God's time
And God is transforming him into the likeness of Christ
Not just making him a good and moral person


I am not who I was yesterday
Tomorrow I will be different still
The longer I walk with the Son of God
The more like Him I become


When you get lost
God provides signs for you to find your way
Watch for them
Follow them
When fools follow the hand of love and rush in
That's God's timing
And it's wonderful
