Betty and I Met at Disneyland, California on Feb. 11, 67.picture of Fantasyland Castle, We married 2 years later and have been together ever since.

Betty and I went to Walt DisneyWorld on Feb. 11 1997 to celebrate our 30th. Anniversary of meeting at Disneyland . We were the "Grand Marshalls" of the parade that day. The Pins at the top of this page were made for us. The person at the shop that made the pins said that she was not suppose to put anything but the name and city you're from, But since we were the Grand Marshalls and also Celebrating our 30th Anniversary she made these for us.

There is still Magic at the Kingdom!

I took plenty of pictures.

Click the pictures below to see what it was like to be in the parade .

We first met with Mr. Ray Lait (Guest Relations) at the City Hall in Main Street USA. Ray then took us by train to Frontierland where we got on the old time automobile to be in the parade.

What Ray didn't tell us was that "We were not only going to be in the parade, But we WERE the parade!" It seems that since people start to line up along the main street an hour before the parade, they (Disney) have to do something to entertain them , so they have a pre-parade parade. About a half hour to 45 minutes before the main parade they have a high school band (this one was from New Orleans) and US, the Grand Marshalls, have our own parade through Frontierland and then down main street to the City Hall where we then got to dance with some of the Disney characters when the main parade came by.

Our children joined us for this event and Mr. Lait had Disney Mouse Ears for all of us to wear. Which didn't make my 21 year old son very happy! But he joined in on the event anyway.

I could hear people along the parade route saying to their children "Look, Mousekateers". Maybe they thought we were some of the original Mousekateers or something.

All in all it was a Wonderful day and Disney did everything they could to make it a "Time to Remember". "THANKS WALT DISNEYWORLD"
