Fluffy Butter Frosting

This is the best whipped butter frosting recipe I've tried so far.  I find that using half & half instead of milk results in a creamier frosting.  This butter frosting is best used with carrot cake or any type of chiffon cake. You could mix toasted walnuts with the frosting in between cake layers for a special treat.  You could also use this to top cupcakes and cookies.

In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter for one minute.  Add confectioners' sugar, salt, milk and vanilla extract and mix until moistened.  Add corn syrup and whip until all ingredients are incorporated and frosting is fluffy and creamy.  Fills and frosts two 9-inch cake layers.

*Soften butter at room temperature for about two hours for the best creaming results.
