I've search everywhere for a good chocolate fudge frosting and found one
at the back of my Hershey's cocoa can. I modified it to use half & half
instead of plain milk. This gives me a creamier, tastier frosting.
In a small mixing bowl, beat melted butter and cocoa together. Alternately add confectioner's sugar and half & half to the cocoa mixture, beat well after each addition. Finish by adding the last of the milk. Add vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Makes about two cups of frosting, enough for two 9-inch cake layers.
