I make these cookies to give to friends and neighbors during the Christmas
holidays. Thanks to Kelly F. for sharing the recipe.
| Cream: | 1 lb. unsalted butter 1 c. granulated sugar 1 egg yolk |
| Add: | 4 c. all-pupose flour |
| Knead: | butter and flour mixture until smooth |
| Form: | dough into small balls. Roll the balls in chopped pecans and put
in cookie sheet. Press each ball with your thumb to make a small well. |
| Bake: | at 200 - 225 degrees Fahrenheit for two hours or until cookies are brown.
Do not turn off the oven. Take the cookies out and fill the wells with heated raspberry jam. Return to oven, turn oven off and let cookies cool inside. |
