My Carroll County Research Page

After the recent crash at Fortune City (where these pages were stored) and a failure to totally back up on my part, I will attempt to recreate the research I had been doing on these pages.

This page is dedicated to the memory of my Grandfather: John A. Key, born April 19,1859 and died March, 1962 just a month short of his 103rd birthday.  He lived most of his life in and around Coloma and Bogard.  He was a farmer by profession and an astute member of the Church of Christ.
The picture used in the background for this page was taken for his 100th birthday in 1959

Among the surnames I am researching that have Carroll county ties are:

  • CAHILL
  • ISOM
  • KEY
  • NANCE
  • POWELL
  • STREET

My Mother: Cora Irene (Key) (Bowen) Cahill passed away April 20, 1999. You can view here ancestrial file here:
